This article explains how you can turn off the weather and new widget in the Windows 10 taskbar.

If you are frustrated with the news and weather widget popping up at the wrong time, like when you accidentally hover over it in a meeting and then even worse it won't pop back down then here is how you can turn it off:

Right click on the icon located at the end of the task bar.
Right click, go to NEWS AND INTERESTS another menu pops up, choose TURN OFF.
No more unwanted pop ups!
