This article explains the purpose and process for adding a staff person as a Dynamics 365 user.
Dynamics 365 is the database used by Regional Councils and General Council Office to:
- Track all Communities of Faith (C0Fs)
- All Pastoral Charges
- All Regional Councils
- All Ministers
- Committee members
- Licensed Lay Worship Leaders (LLWLs)
- Regional Council Lay Members Elected
- Educational Institutions
- Etc …
And other Contacts and Organizations.
There is a subscription fee for each D365 user and therefore each D365 user needs to have a License that has been approved by the Regional Council Executive Minister (RCEM) or at General Council, the Unit Executive Minister.
- License Approval by RCEM:
Sam Hou and/or Jayne King need to receive an email that shows the RCEM has approved the license for the staff member. The email should include if there is an existing staff member who’s permissions can be copied for this new person........................................
- Purchase License:
Sam will purchase the license for the individual.
- D365 Permissions:
IT Helpdesk will set the D365 permissions.
- Narthex Quick Link:
IT Helpdesk will add the Dynamics quick link to the staff member’s Narthex. This is the best way to get into Dynamics, especially in the beginning.
- Staff Member sees Narthex quick link, Dynamics.
When the staff member sees the Narthex quick link, they should test the link, and if there are any problems, let Jayne King know.
