Summary - A user requests that you give them an export of one of their document libraries but the library has over 30,000 records. The out of the box export will fail (as of writing this article). To achieve this you need to run it in ShareGate.
Step 1: make sure you have a duplicate library of the original source ready beforehand. You can use ShareGate to make a copy if need be.
Step 2: Go into ShareGate and go to Copy Content. Choose your source site and library then choose the newly created library as your destination. ShareGate will see the columns match and should automatically map the correct columns together.
Step 3: Verify ShareGate has mapped the metadata by going into the mappings and manual check. Just to be safe under options you can uncheck copy permissions and versions, just in case this puts extra output into the csv, save your changes.
Step 4: instead of hitting copy click on EXPORT TO EXCEL and choose where to save the file. Wait for the report to generate and you are done.
