Many people have questions about the different fields that are in Dynamics 365 (D365). Here's a chart that show:

|Accounts||Account Name||This is the name by which a Pastoral Charge, or congregation, or other organization is known.
If the Account is a Pastoral Charge (PC), Congregation, or Regional Council then the Account Name is determined when the PC is created.

If the Account is an Unaffiliated Organization (Ministry Type=Unaffiliated Organization) then the Owner or Creator of the Account, can edit/update.

|Preferred Name||This is the preferred name that an Account uses.
For example, some PCs use a short form of their name. In that case, their short form could be added to the Preferred Name.
|Regional Admins, GCO staff.|
|Regional Council||This is the Regional Council which contains the Account. If the Account is a Community of Faith (CoF), then the Regional Council is determined when the COF is created.||Statistics team|
|Parent Account||Parent Account refers the UCC hierachary of Congregations, Pastoral Charges and Regions.
Pastoral Charges Parent account is the Region;
CoF parent account is the Pastoral Charge
Account Type=Unaffiliated Organizations or Account Type = Other do not have a Parent account.
